In these terms and conditions:
Card Payment Provider means Direct Card Solutions Limited t/a Yorkshire Payments of 22 Bethel
Street, Brighouse, HD6 1LN
CFFC means The Community Foundation for Calderdale of 1855 Building, Discovery Road, Halifax, HX1
2NG
Event means the Business for Calderdale Business Awards 2023
Event Date means 11th October 2023
Liability means and includes every kind of liability arising under or in connection with the contract
including but not limited to liability in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation,
restitution or otherwise.
Venue means The Venue, Bowers Mill, Branch Road, Barkisland, Halifax, HX4 0AD
You / Your means the individual, limited company or limited liability partnership who enters into a
contract to buy a tickets or tickets at the Event
The contract
Business for Calderdale is a networking organisation run by committee. It has no legal formation. As
such, when buying tickets, You are contracting with CFFC who are processing the tickets on behalf of
Business for Calderdale. The members of the Business for Calderdale committee have no legal Liability
nor obligation to You whatsoever.
The contract is for the supply of a ticket or tickets to attend the Event on the Event Date. The only and
sole legal obligation of CFFC to You is to provide the ticket or tickets You buy to attend the Event on
the Event Date.
Your tickets to attend the Event will not be confirmed, and there will not be contract formed with You,
until the tickets you have booked are paid for in full. Business for Calderdale and CFFC reserve the
right to release any ticket or tickets that have not been paid for to a third party if payment has not
been received in full 14 days before the Event Date.
The tickets for the Event are facilitated by the Card Payment Provider and the provision of payment is
facilitated by the Card Payment Provider on behalf of CFFC. The Card Payment Provider is responsible
to You for the processing of the payment You make.
Business for Calderdale and CFFC reserve the right to cancel the Event at any time. If this should
happen, the money You have paid for Your ticket/s will be refunded by CFFC. You will not be entitled
to any form of damages or compensation (whether direct or indirect) if this should happen. This is
CFFC’s total Liability to You.
Should it be necessary to postpone the Event Date for any reason (whether in the control of Business
for Calderdale or CFFC or not), You agree that You will allow CFFC and Business for Calderdale to retain
the money You have paid for Your ticket/s until such time as the Event can be rearranged to a new
date provided this is within six months of the Event. If outside six months, the money You have paid
for Your ticket/s will be refunded by CFFC. You will not be entitled to any form of damages or
compensation (whether direct or indirect) if this should happen. This is CFFC’s total Liability to You.
The Event will take place at the Venue. You agree that if the Business for Calderdale committee
consider it necessary the Venue may be changed and You will not be entitled to any refund if that
should happen nor shall CFFC or Business for Calderdale have any Liability to You for the change.
The Venue is entirely responsible to You for Your, and any of Your guests, whilst at the Event. Neither
CFFC nor Business for Calderdale has any Liability whatsoever to You (or any of Your guests) in relation
to anything that may happen or occur at the Event. You are responsible for Your own safety at the
Event and if anything should occur this will be between You and the Venue.
If You buy a ticket or tickets to attend the Event as a finalist in any of the Awards categories, You
understand that You may not receive an award.
Given the above, You agree and accept that these terms relating to the contract are reasonable
