Business for Calderdale (BfC) is a not for profit networking organisation run by committee. The correspondence address for BfC is care of Community Foundation for Calderdale, 1855 Building, Discovery Road, Halifax, HX1 2NG.

 

As a not for profit organisation, BfC is not registered with the Information Commissioners Office. The person responsible for data protection at BfC is the chair, Nick Worsnop who can be contacted at nicholasworsnop@chadlaw.co.uk

 

The data BfC holds is in relation to its members and comprises members’ names, contact email addresses, contact telephone numbers, correspondence address and details relating to the payment of membership fees. BfC holds this information for the purposes of membership only, to inform members of events and subscriptions that may be due.

 

This data is necessary for the legitimate interests of BfC to perform its networking function for members.

 

In the event that membership comes to an end, for whatever reason, BfC will stop processing the former member’s data as soon as it reasonably can do so.

BfC shares its data with the Community Foundation for Calderdale who process the data of its members upon BfC’s behalf. There is a written agreement in place with the Community Foundation for Calderdale which regulates this processing. Also, BfC may share members’ data with the members of the BfC committee (details of which can be found on the website www.businessforcalderdale.co.uk). Aside from that, BfC will not pass members’ data to any third party without their specific agreement that we may do so. Data will be processed by way of paper records and also on the Community Foundation for Calderdale’s computer systems.

 

In addition, members of the BfC committee have access to the data BfC holds and this is subject to written terms between BfC and the individual committee members. Details of the committee members can be found on the BfC website.

 

You have the right to ask us for confirmation of the data we hold and are processing about you, to request access to and copies of the data, to ask that any data that we hold be corrected if you believe it is inaccurate or incorrect, and to object to or ask for data to be erased.
