Your chance to see behind the scenes at Franklyn Jewellers.
The business was founded by Richard Franklyn who continues to own and run the business to the present day.
Richard says “At Franklyns we always have and continue to pride ourselves on having our workshop on site and in full view so our customers can see the work we carry out. This enables us to carry out fast, quality repairs and helps us to manufacture individual pieces that are value for money.
In our 21st year, we realised an opportunity to relocate the business, not far though as we only moved from no 8 to no 10 Market street! However, this means we can offer our customers a larger contemporary space to browse and shop as well as developing an area upstairs for design and consultations.
On the premises, we have three Working Jewellers, our C.A.D design service, and two qualified diamond graders and make 95% of our diamond rings on site enabling us to keep our quality high but our costs low”.
Did you miss the Antiques Roadshow in Halifax?
Don’t worry, Franklyns will also appraise 3 Heirloom pieces of jewellery from attendees. If you wish to take part you will need to bring the items in the week before to allow Franklyns to do any necessary research, measure stones etc.
Richard says “We will choose the three most interesting pieces and with the approval of the owner will “appraise” them in front of the group, antique roadshow style.
Franklyns will also provide a complimentary clean and polish service on 1 ring from each person attending, just bring the ring along on the night.
